Hi there, Thank the gods for your website. I am halfway through an English and Creative Writing degree and 'The Inheritance Trilogy' drives me crazy. Your site is not needlessly abusive but allows people to vent their fury over his trite writing.
Thanks, you have made my day. (I am supposed to be writing an essay on Heaney's Beowulf lol)

Thank you so much for putting this site up; I'm a young writer-in-progress, and as you've said, am quite annoyed at Paolini's lack of writing skills and story development. The critiques you discussed made me think more about my own work, and hopefully I'll turn out to have characters with better personality developments.^_^ Thank you again; you're an inspiration!

I just wanted to say that this website is bloody fantastic! I laughed so hard reading some of the stuff up here! Have you considered putting up a "Wall of Shame" where you can post some of the ridiculous comments you've gotten from people who try to uphold the "noble" story of Eragon? It might be fun to put up just to get a laugh out of. If ever you need help with the website or need ideas for it- I would LOVE to help in any way I can.
Congrats again! And keep up the awesome work! ~Melly

Hey Melly! I'm really glad you enjoy AE. I've been considering a fan mail/hate mail section for a while now, and I'll try to get one up over the weekend. If you have any other ideas, I'm more than willing to consider them; I have some of my own, but it's always great to hear from the fans... or, you know, antis. ;)
Best wishes!

Love the site, really like an essay on Islanzadi andthe other most-ripped-off characters. You are very witty, intelligent and talented.

Speaking as someone who actually enjoyed Inheritance--at least, some of it (not the "hero")--I think you have a very good site here. There's no venom or malice, and all the points are well-made, even if I disagree with some of them.
I might be submitting a "he-got-this-right-at-least" essay on the Elves.
Oh, and if you're looking for another image for that animated icon under the tagboard, the Nazgul as Ra'zac might be good.

Hi Eileen,
Thanks for the feedback! If you'd like to submit an article, from whatever standpoint, I'd be happy to put it up. And thanks for the animation suggestion.
I haven't been updating AE as much as I'd like, but I plan to start again fairly soon. I just wanted to let you know that I'm grateful for you being so understanding; I've met a lot of fans who have hated me for saying a word against Inheritance. You do Paolini proud. ;-)
I hope to hear from you again sometime,

I just wanted to tell you I admire your intelligence and determination required to run this site. I also wanted to say I thik the parody video is laugh out loud funny! Hopefully you can make more soon!!

I can't tell you how much this site has saved my life...reading Eragon...probably one of the worst experiences in my life. As a young writer, I am insulted by the insinuation that Eragon is "good for a fifteen year old." I'm thirteen, and I'd like to think I can develop my characters a little more than that!
You express everything I want to rant about perfectly. Thanks once again! Wubs.

I just think that it is so funny that all the Eragon lovers think they are being smart and clever by saying, "I would like to see you write a book at 15" and all that rubbish . Don't they get that you are not comparing your work to his or anyone else's? You are criticizing his work because it is a book you thought was rubbish, not because you are jealous of him or anything like that . I think I read somewhere that people fell sorry for CP because he is going to be remembered as having the "rabid fans". I am also not an anti-Eragon or a fan . I read the book and thought it was ok. Nothing more. I read it again and am quite surprised I lived through it. Love the website. Hope you can write back to me =-)

Hi Daniel!
I'm glad you've liked the site, and thanks for your feedback. I've been considering an essay on the "age point" that so many fans bring up, so you might want to check back at some point to see that.
Best wishes and happy holidays!

Your site is amazing. I am so happy that you created it. I have seen the similarities that you have, but I don't have a website to put it on. Please read the third book, and put some more similarities about that once it comes out, okay? Thanks again.
J. B.
P. S. Could you maybe have less swearing, that is the only thing that I would complain about.

Hi J.B.,
I'm glad to hear that you like AE, and I'm sorry about the language. I try to keep it to a minimum, but sometimes it happens anyway. I plan on putting a warning somewhere on the homepage, but I understand your concerns and I'll work harder to keep it toned down.
Best of luck to you,

well first off I would like to say that I AM a fan of Eragon and the Inheritance Trilogy, but your site has very good ideas that have facts backing them. There are a LOT of parodies in the books with other writings as I'm sure everyone else has noticed. I think it's very funny seeing crazy fans cussing at you for your ideas when you have a reason to post them and they have no rebuttal for you. They refuse to believe there are any flaws in the books, but nothing can be perfect can it. CP's books recieve a lot of praise but I think its also necessary to have criticism, its healthy for a writer. I'm glad that there are people like you to shove a little understanding down ignorant fans thoats.
Thanks

Hi Elysha!
I always love hearing from fans of Inheritance who enjoy AE. I'm glad you see what a lot of other fans tend to ignore--that I haven't made this site to injure sales or destroy Paolini's career, but to show flaws so that other writers can learn to avoid his mistakes. Anyway, I hope to see you around AE in the future.
Best of luck to you!
