whyWings Immortal came about when I tired of MSN groups and wanted to move LotE to a domain. I really wanted to have a site that I could put non-LotR content on and host other sites. I also really wanted to have fanlistings!nameAlthough not a LotR website, I really wanted my domain name to be Tolkien-related, but not something that people would see and go "This must be a LotR website!". I've had trouble with people being unable to spell the URL's of my past websites so people had to be able to remember it! I narrowed it down to the following: distant-shore.net, cloudless-night.net, shoreless-skies.net. Then I discovered that all of them were taken which kind of sucked.In the end it was a toss-up between doom-appointed.net and wings-immortal.net, so I decided not to sound suicidal and go for the latter! The name pays homepage to my obsessive love of all things Tolkien and it's kind of random which suits me well. ;)
